FR-230. WWII Russian DP-28 Light Machine Gun (demilled- display) $1399.95
FR-230. WWII Russian DP-28 Light Machine Gun (demilled- display)
The DP-28 was originally introduced by the Russians in 1928 and was one of the cheapest and easiest Russian machine guns they produced. Early models had less than 80 parts and were so easy to manufacture that it could be produced by unskilled laborers. Average firing was 500 rounds per minute which meant a reduced danger of over heating the barrels. The major drawbacks on this gun were the bi-pods which broke very easily in combat and the drum magazine which took a very long time to reload with ammunition. This gun is in top notch condition and is probably the best DP-28 demill we have ever had. The overall gun is in beautiful shape with a 1945 date and serial number below the date. The barrel does twist and remove when the charge handle is pulled back, however the barrel has been shortened internally as part of the demil. The approximate 4" area inside the receiver where the chamber and rear section of the barrel inserts into has been drilled, cut and welded shut. This is all internal and does not detract from the overall appearance of the gun. The charge handle pulls back and will "dry fire' when the trigger and safety button are depressed, however only the bolt carrier moves and no internal parts. All other internal parts are permanently welded in place and demilled according to current BATF standards. The inside of the receiver has also been filled and welded to the lower trigger group as an additional part of the demil process. This MG also has the original bi-pod which folds down and clips in the carry position and comes with an original sling and magazine. From outward appearance this gun is identical to an original live gun which makes a great display!

FR-267. WWII Russian DPM demilled Machinegun. $1599.95
FR-267. WWII Russian DPM demilled Machinegun.
It remained the standard light gun until the 50's, and large numbers of them were used by the North Korean and Chinese Communists in the Korean War. The DP-28 did have some distinct faults, the return spring weakened with heat from the hot barrel, and the bipod legs bent and broke from rough handling. The DPM moved the return spring to the rear of the bolt which protruded over the small of the butt in a cylindrical housing, and also added of a pistol grip. The bipod was replaced by a stronger version, attached to the barrel casing, which raised the roll center of the gun and made it easier to hold upright. This demilled gun is in excellent condition and is the first DPM we have ever offered. The overall gun is in beautiful shape with a 1945 date and serial number below the date. An approximate 4" area inside the receiver where the chamber and rear section of the barrel inserts into has been drilled, cut and welded shut. This is all internal and does not detract from the overall appearance of the gun. The charge handle pulls back and will "dry fire' when the trigger is depressed, however only the bolt carrier moves and no internal parts. All other internal parts are permanently welded in place and demilled according to current BATF standards. The receiver has also been welded to the lower trigger group as an additional part of the demil process. This DPM has the original bi-pod which folds down and clips in the carry position and comes with an original sling and magazine. From outward appearance this gun is identical to an original live gun which makes a great display!

FR-445. WWII German FLAK 41 Round with Impact Fuse. $1249.95
FR-445. WWII German FLAK 41 Round with Impact Fuse.
Extremely rare German Ordnance Round. These long rounds (48”) were unique to the Flak 41 gun. Only 556 of these guns were produced. Although a vast improvement over the other 88mm Flak Guns (they has a maximum ceiling of 48,000 feet and could fire 20 to 25 rounds per minute!) they were complex, and the shells often jammed upon extraction. By February 1944 only 279 of these guns remained in service. Although an AA gun these could also be used in the anti tank role. Condition is good – VG. The casing is split at the lip (extraction problem). Both casing and high explosive round are 1944 dated and nicely marked. It has an impact (anti tank) dummy (reproduction) fuse. Rare.

I has a museum grade reproduction impact fuse that is complete with markings. All three components are nicely marked. Overall it is in VG condition although there must have been a head space issue as the base cracked when fired. There is a neck crack and a couple of small dings in the brass casing. Still a hard to find ordnance item.
